  1. Wonderful pictures, Ladysforest. You must have had a very good rally.

    • Thank you – Husband took them, he’s better with the camera than I am. We had a good time, the speakers were great and kept the crowd enthused. The people were friendly and there wasn’t even a hint of disturbance. I figure there was about 3000 people. I was hoping for twice that many at least, but it was short notice and quite cold! Why does our side always do things so very last minute? We need lists of people who will attend rallys at the drop of a hat, lists of churches and businesses that will help with buses, and we need to fight back better and bigger.

  2. This is a comment from over on Legal Insurrection:

    “and, here it is.

I believe this is the passage you mean:

“Did you really think that we want those laws to be observed?” said Dr. Ferris. “We want them broken. You’d better get it straight that it’s not a bunch of boy scouts you’re up against – then you’ll know that this is not the age for beautiful gestures. We’re after power and we mean it. You fellows were pikers, but we know the real trick, and you’d better get wise to it. There’s no way to rule innocent men. The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren’t enough criminals, one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws. Who wants a nation of law-abiding citizens? What’s there in that for anyone? But just pass the kind of laws that can neither be observed nor enforced nor objectively interpreted – and you create a nation of law-breakers – and then you cash in on guilt. Now, that’s the system, Mr. Rearden, that’s the game, and once you understand it, you’ll be much easier to deal with.”

Things aren’t quite that bad. Yet.”

I just can’t add anything to that.

  3. Just found your website. Looks like loads of good reading here, and my poster from the gun rally on the 19th made top billing. Bonus! I went to the rally today as well, and will be going to the one on the 28th, as well.

    • Hi and thanks for commenting!

I had to miss the rally yesterday due to the flu, but we are going to the one on the 28th also. I keep trying to make people aware of some of the more insidious aspects of the SAFE Act, because if more people really knew just how bad this is they would freak. As soon as I am recovered I will try to put together a post on the topic.
