The Consent Of The Governed

  HAPPY 4th OF JULY !!

I hope your day is wonderful, but also reflective about what you hold dear in being American.  I know it is a challenge right now to feel hope for a return to a country that we all understand and a leader that we can trust.

A real leader, one who embraces pride in his heritage and ALL his countrymen.

You know, like President Regan.  He caused us to feel pride in being American.  He believed, and so we believed.

I will not dwell on the contrast that we are now burdened with, not this day.  Today is our day,  and it belongs to the patriots that still believe in the goodness of our Citizens, and the greatness of our America.  We should take a few moments to reflect on this country’s birth, and make a re-commitment  within ourselves to fight the fight that has been brought before us in this time and this place in history.

This now is our fight to bring.

July 4, 1776 – The United States declares its Independence from Britain (by approving the Declaration of Independence).

And today, July 4th, 2011,  Britain honors the US by unveiling  a bronze statue, and holding a tribute to, Ronald Regan.  It is a wonderful memorial to a man who has come to be a hero to so many Americans.  To Britain ~ THANK YOU !
