In the material below, you will see the (second generation) copies printed off of the micro-film viewers in the Library of Congress, DC. These are the actual copies that I used when I was comparing the frequency of the two newspapers publishing the names in the birth announcements in exact descending order, and only one day apart – as happened in the case of obamas announcement.

Having taken a relatively quick look through these documents, there appear to be a number of “anomalies”: Text of certain words larger than surrounding text, missing lines of text for some announcements, duplication of some announcements. Just a few things noticed off hand. I hope others take a look and share what they see. I’ll be more specific when I have more time. Looking forward to the next post, ladysforest.
