Indeed.  In fact we have endless examples in history of the attempts by many newly sovereign United States citizens and Government officials to cling to many of the old ways and customs.  To this day if you travel to England you will find it’s people so confined by tradition that they can’t bring themselves to change a centuries old “favorite” recipe by adding some much needed herbs or spices.  I’m serious.  Some long dead Queen or King declared that a particular dish served to them was wonderful, or a favorite, and the recipe was forever moribund. 

Anyway, I wanted to pop up a “refreshment” post with some reminders of how we found ourselves with the Article ll Presidential eligibility definition battle, and the related documents.  A one stop shop for the wording and images of the two (Constitution) variations setting forth the eligibility restricitons.

First up is the ORIGINAL wording for citizenship eligibility requirements for all US Presidents.

Here is the Afterbirthers standard basic “argument”:

One can read the argument from the Supreme Court decision in US v. Wong to see why subject and citizen are convertible terms in this context, but I think that it’s a mistake to look to English Common Law for a definition of “natural born subject.” A dictionary suffices. What we get from English Common Law is that those persons born in the country, without regard for the parentage of their parents qualify as subjects at birth (i.e. natural born subjects) and what we got from subsequent US legislation is that certain others are also citizens at birth (natural born citizens). And of course, the 14th Amendment cemented the Common Law notion of citizenship by birth in the country.

In the first sentence the writer says: ” but I think that it’s a mistake to look to English Common Law for a definition of “natural born subject.”  In the last sentence they say: “And of course, the 14th Amendment cemented the Common Law notion of citizenship by birth in the country.  Heh.

What do the two sentences have in common?  Common law – English Common Law.  Born on the soil, irregardless of the citizenship of the parents, makes one a “natural born subject/citizen”.  It seems that the Afterbirther argument is supported by the way the eligibility requirement was originally written,

“No person shall be eligible to the office of President of the United States unless he be now a Citizen of one of the States, or hereafter be born a citizen of the United States. (emphasis mine) 

That wording was changed.  John Jay had suggested a strong check to Foreigners, and that the Presidency not devolve on any but a natural born Citizen.  This indicates that to simply “be born a citizen” was too broad in meaning.

Next you will typically find how the argument they use moves to naturalization.  The definition of naturalization?

“To confer the rights of a national on; especially: to admit to citizenship”

To CONFER, as in to BESTOW something on someone that did not have it before.  Congress regulates naturalization.  Prior to that the individual Colonies each had their own rules for naturalization, Because we had no central government yet, each “State” (Colony) did it’s own thing when conferring citizenship on persons who wished to become citizens of that Colony/Commonwealth.   After the Revolution you were a US citizen, became a naturalized citizen of  a particular State/Commonwealth, or you retained the nationality you started out life with. It was not until the Constitution was signed and ratified that the power to regulate naturalization was assigned to Congress.

Back in the day (mid-late 1700′s) there was NO dual citizenship.  English Common Law didn’t allow for it, nor did the US.  The US still does not formally recognize, by law, dual nationally.  That would require treaties with every other nation on earth.  And that just ain’t gonna happen.  To address the “situation” Acts were passed (1790′s) giving citizenship rights to children of US parents, so that the children were not aliens in the country that  their parents were citizens of.  At the time the Constitution was signed that was actually a bit of a problem as you can imagine.

How can we now claim that a person born with dual citizenship status in 1960 (barack obama) would qualify as the “natural-born Citizen” the signers of the Constitution intended?  In 1787 there was no such class of citizenship in the United States.   Article ll has never been amended to include such children.  Dual citizenship always includes a foreign entanglement as well as domestic citizenship.  Always.  It can’t be helped and it cannot be gotten around.  And the citizenship at the moment of birth can never be ignored when one considers the limitations laid out in the Constitution.  Else any naturalized person could be called “natural-born Citizen” at will.

But you knew that already

Say……….with all the criminal overreaching going on in our government lately – I actually AM beginning to feel like a SUBJECT.

Please keep in mind as you read this that those in support of obama and doing away with the Article ll Presidential eligibility requirement, usually claim that the US Constitution ~ the Federal Constitution ~ was heavily based on British common law, and so the meaning of “natural-born Citizen” is exactly the same as “natural born Subject”.  We all know by now that a British “natural born Subject” is identical to a 14th Amendment anchor baby in US terms.  We also know that the 14th Amendment was never intended to be interpreted quite in that fashion.

The part of this letter that addresses G.B. Common law begins:

What can he mean by saying that the Common law is not secured by the new Constitution, though it has been adopted by the State Constitutions.

While this letter does not touch on the topic of natural-born Citizenship, it does show clearly that our fore-fathers did not convert the G.B. Common laws into our own Constitution. I particularly focus on the last few sentences.  Suck it obama sheep.

Formatting difficulty today, I apologize for the odd layout of the text.

I have a very personal story to tell you.  Once you have read it you may wonder why I didn’t tell it with more passion, more outrage, more disbelief.  I suppose it would be in part because although I was horrified on learning all of the details, I was not surprised.

I’ll just tell the very basics of this story for that sickens me sufficiently.   Please keep in mind the Gang of Eight, and their Immigration Reform scheme headed by Marco Rubio when you read this.

It is about an illegal alien and two newborn infants who were put up for sale.

It is a true story.

It is a story of my niece and her relationship with an illegal alien who is a Mexican national, and took place in central New York, U.S.A..  She began seeing this man roughly seven years ago.  They did drugs together, and he often found men to sell her to when the money for drugs and rent ran short.  She openly admitted to her father, and her grandfather that she prostituted  herself with the assistance of her Mexican “boyfriend”.  It was through my father that I learned of this part of the story, and eventually the rest of the incredibly despicable actions of the pair.

Soon after beginning a relationship with the undocumented alien, my niece found that she was pregnant, and with the advice and guidance of her boyfriend, she began to search the internet for “adoptive” parents who would PAY a “bonus” to be allowed to adopt the child.  So, not just pay her pregnancy expenses, but to pay the couple $10,000. on delivering the newborn up for “adoption”.

They were successful in finding just such a couple. Or so it seemed.  As it turned out, long story short, many promises were made by the “interested couple”.  Promises that were not kept.  You see, the “adoptive” couple agreed to pay living and maternity costs in addition to the $10,000, but after sending a few small “payments” to my niece, they became somewhat difficult to connect with.  My niece had never met them in person, or spoken to them on the phone.  Every contact was via computer.

When the baby was born the illegal alien boyfriend contacted the adoptive couple and advised them of the date and time of release from the hospital.  There were several people waiting for my niece outside of the hospital.  They asked her to sign papers, and then they collected the newborn girl from her.  They did not however, give her any money in exchange.  My niece began to question them, and was told that the “check would be sent to her soon”.   This part of her story she eventually told to me herself.

No check was ever received.  The hospital bill was never paid by the mysterious adoptive parents, but was eventually paid for by medicaid.  Meanwhile, the young couple were furious about being conned.  They didn’t seem concerned about the fate of the infant girl at all, but because they had not gotten paid for her.

Within a year, my niece was pregnant again, and by the same illegal alien.  This time there was an added dimension as her father, my brother, had been diagnosed with terminal cancer.  He died a few weeks before the next child, another girl, was born.

It was at her fathers funeral that I found out my niece once again planned to try to sell her child, and that her Mexican boyfriend had assured that this time they wouldn’t get “ripped off”.  She told me this while at the funeral, after I had asked how her (very obvious) pregnancy was going and if she had everything she would need for the baby.

I remember that she called me from the hospital and asked me if I would help her cash a check for $6000.  Suspecting how she had come by the money, I flatly refused.  I found out a few days later that my nephew had cashed the check for her.  My father later told me that the check was indeed payment to her for the newborn girl.  My father also said he had tried to report what was going on, but had been ignored.

Not long after the second newborn went away to an unknown fate, the illegal alien boyfriend was arrested for entering a womans home through her window and attacking her.

 
He was finally deported.

Please, although this story shares such a shameful  series of events within  my extended family, I want this story to be known.   Help save untold newborns from this fate ~ contact the Gang of Eight.  Share this story with them.

I saw this on AOL, and I laughed my ASS off at the headline.  I haven’t read the entire article, but the thing was too ~ uncommon ~ to just ignore.

Oprah Entangled In Unusual Foreskin Controversy

Activists in Canada are planning to picket Oprah for a highly unusual reason.

The Toronto Star reported Wednesday that the Canadian Foreskin Awareness Project, a group that opposes circumcision, has a beef with Oprah after she endorsed SkinMedica’s TNS Recovery Complex, an anti-aging cream that contains cells derived from human foreskin. 

“How would Oprah respond if a skin cream for men hit the market that was made using cells from the genitalia of little girls?” Glen Callender, CFAP’s founder, told the Star.

**GASP** Bwahahahahahaha!  I don’t recall the time I’ve found foreskin this damn funny!

Yesterday, March 5, Arizona Maricopa Co. Cold Case Posse lead Mike Zullo joined Carl Gallups radio “Freedom Friday” broadcast to take questions and to discuss a bit of new headway being made into the investigation of the fraudulent obama long form birth certificate.

The discussion does not touch at all on the historical meaning of natural born Citizen, except in a very brief and general exchange between the host and Mr. Zullo.  The Q and A part of the show did take up the bulk of the program, yielding little new information or new insight, but there were a few interesting moments.  For the most part, the caller asked a question and disappeared while Zullo answered.  So no actual back and forth between callers and Zullo happen.

I did listen to the entire recording, and noted the first 37 minutes had nothing much to catch my attention especially.  At about the 37 minute mark they discuss the specific programs used in the creation of the officially released Presidential long form birth certificate.

Here are some of the bullet points for this part of the broadcast provided over on The Birther Report:

“We know it was uploaded from a Mac”
A program called Preview was used just before the upload which can erase metadata…some of the data was retained however.
Other Programs used are Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.
It was uploaded to a government server.

At about 40 minutes in “threats to the press” are brought up.

At 50 minutes in there was an interesting exchange, but I didn’t note what it was about.   ???    Sorry about that.

At 56 minutes the NEW stuff starts and is really worth listening to.  BE FOREWARNED that no specifics are given (that is because this is actually still a genuine investigation in progress).

At 58 minutes Zullo states that someone “found something” a couple of days ago that is, in the words of the Great Orator Joe Biden, a BFD.  Found something ………… hummm.

They chat about that for a few minutes, and this part is certainly worth listening to.  Zullo does say that the investigation will necessarily be ongoing and will not be wrapping up in the very near future.

He seems to think that they have a piece of honest to God proof that will blow this up.

I can be a patient person.

In these days of historical revisions, it is time to set the record straight about who Uncle Tom really was.

I have often wondered how many on the left – the Proggies – have actually read Uncle Toms Cabin.

I have a confession to make, I only read the book a year ago myself.  I was given a very old copy as a gift, and reluctantly opened it up to read one day.

Reluctantly?  And me an avid reader?  Yes.  You see, my perception of what the book was had been colored by the use of the term “Uncle Tom” as a pejorative through the years.  I had known the story was about slavery, and I had a vague sense that “Uncle Tom” would be a obsequious, groveling, favor seeking snitch, as well as the story delivering the obligatory all-whites-owned-and-viciously-beat-black-slaves history lesson.  But I decided to read the damn thing and get the true  meaning of the term “Uncle Tom” straight from the original source anyway. 

I discovered that I had unfortunately prejudged the book, which is something I rarely do, and this story reminded me why.

 Although the use of “Uncle Tom” is now a pejorative,( and being used as such, is directed at the good Dr. Ben Carson by those on the left)  the character in the book was in fact a man of deep faith, honesty, intelligence, and integrity.  And those certainly are qualities possessed in abundance by Dr. Carson.  So how did the disconnect happen?

For more than a century, the Uncle Tom character has taken the rap for Quimbo and Sambo (whose qualities I have assigned to the infamous Jesse Jackson pictured above left), two slaves-turned-foremen who lived and worked on the plantation where Uncle Tom died. Uncle Tom received the final fatal blows from “Sambo”, a black overseer who had won his position by “snitching” on other slaves, and being willing to torment and torture them at the behest of his master.  Sambo was rewarded with power to command other slaves and his cruelty was without limits. The duo obliged their master, and by doing so were awarded privileges far beyond fellow slaves. They were designated as leaders by the slave owner who perceived a willingness on their part to take charge of their brethren on behalf of their master (which is precisely why Sambo brings to mind Jesse Jackson).  The despicable Simon Legree, Uncle Tom’s third and final master (and the only “master” that had treated Tom cruelly), had Tom whipped to death by Sambo for refusing to deny his faith or betray the hiding place of two fugitive women.  Far from being a snitch, Tom lost his life protecting runaway slaves.

So how did we get to the place where the Sambo character was left by the wayside, and the undeserving Uncle Tom assumes the mantle of the modern day pandering snitch?

White folks trying to make a buck. 

The **reconstructed** Uncle Toms, or more appropriately, the “stage version” in what were called “Tom Shows” are passive, docile, unthinking Christians. Loyal and faithful to white employers, they are duplicitous in their dealings with fellow blacks.  AKA, the pandering snitch.

I guess it simply wouldn’t do to leave the character in his true form as a good man, an honest man, a compassionate and God fearing person.  Wouldn’t sell tickets.

And it had the added effect of pitting generations of black against black while leaving the white hands clean.

Lousy shit has been happening lately.

A long serious illness for me, quickly followed by a horrible health event for my DOG.

I am just getting a little normalcy restored.   You see, I never admitted to anyone in my family just how ill I was.  And I have had to force myself to come to terms with just how ill my DOG is while my family acts like neither thing was really what it actually was.

They should have been able to see and HEAR it while I was so ill.  And how they can look at this poor animal and not have more empathy I simply don’t understand.

Sometimes loved ones – the family members closest to you – are horribly absent from reality.  When that happens you go it all alone, and that is like being crushed from the boulder of unconcern.

The past two months have been that way. 

Sometimes I’d just like to tell everyone who loves me so much to go fuck off.
